Stock Transfers Tutorial
This guide explains how to move inventory between your different business branches using the Stock Transfers feature.
1. Navigating to Stock Transfers
- Log in with your account.
- On the sidebar menu, select Catalog & Inventory and click Stock Transfers.
- Here you will see a dashboard with your total transfers, pending requests, and items currently in transit. You can also filter past transfers by status or date.
2. Creating a New Transfer
- Click the blue + New Transfer button in the top right corner.
- A transfer configuration window will open. Fill in the following:
- Source Branch: Select the branch that will send the stock.
- Destination Branch: Select the branch that will receive the stock.
- Notes: (Optional) Add any relevant comments, like "Weekly restock".
- Add the items to transfer:
- Click the Item dropdown to search for products available in the source branch.
- Enter the Quantity you wish to transfer. (The system will ensure you don't exceed the current available stock).
- If you need to send multiple products, click + Add Item to add more rows.
- Once all items are added, click Create Transfer.
3. Understanding Transfer Statuses
Stock transfers go through several stages to ensure accountability:
- Draft / Requested: The transfer has been created and is waiting for approval.
- Approved: A manager has approved the request.
- In Transit: The stock has left the source branch and is on its way.
- Received: The destination branch has received the items, and their stock levels have been automatically updated.
- Cancelled: The transfer was aborted.
