Service Charges Tutorial
This guide explains how to set up and manage automated service charges based on party size or order type.
1. Navigating to Service Charges
- Log in to your Admin account.
- On the sidebar menu, click on Settings and then Service Charges.
- You will see a dashboard displaying your current service charge policies.
2. Creating a Service Charge Rule
- Click the + Add Rule button in the top right corner.
- A configuration window will open. Fill in the following details:
- Description: Enter a clear name for the charge, such as "Large Group Service (6+)".
- Percentage: Enter the percentage rate to be applied to the bill.
- Operational Status: Toggle whether this rule should be active immediately.
- Configure the Guest Range:
- Min Guests: Set the minimum number of guests required to trigger this charge.
- Max Guests: (Optional) Set a maximum limit. Leave this blank if the rule applies to any group size above the minimum (e.g., 6+ guests).
- Select the Order Types:
- Click to toggle which order types this charge applies to (e.g., Dine In, Takeaway, Delivery, or Online).
- Click Save to create the rule.
3. Editing or Deleting a Rule
- In the Service Charges dashboard, find the rule you wish to modify.
- Click the Edit (Pencil icon) to update the percentage, guest range, or applicable order types.
- Click the Delete (Trash bin icon) if you want to completely remove the rule from your system.
